The project is titled Phase 3 Infiltration Correction Services - Installation of Pumps and Boxes. The work consists of sealing the citys sewer collection system from inflow and/or repairs of the system, and other associated work. A certified check or cashiers check on a National or State Bank or a bid bond in a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, made payable to the City of Clewiston, shall accompany each bid as a guarantee that the bidder will not withdraw from the competition after opening of the bids, and in the event the contract is awarded to the bidder, he will enter into contract and furnish the required performance and payment bonds, failing which, he shall forfeit the bid deposit as liquidated damages. The performance and payment bonds shall be executed by a fully authorized surety, acceptable to the CITY and licensed by the State of Florida. The CITY reserves the right to hold all bids for thirty (30) days and to reject any and all bids, with or without cause, to waive technical errors and informalities, or to accept the bid in its judgment that serves the CITY.
