The purpose of this RFP is to invite Proponents to prepare and submit competitive Proposals to provide BC Housing with Architectural Services (the "Deliverables") for the Affordable Rental Housing located in Okanagan Region of BC. Through this RFP process, BC Housing is seeking to enter into a contract (the "Contract") with an experienced, qualified supplier (the "Supplier") to provide the Deliverables. It is the Proponent's sole responsibility to verify whether they have been registered with BC Housing to attend this Virtual Information Session. Key Elements of the Deliverables The following are some of the key elements of the Deliverables: a) Prime Consultant / architectural services including sub-consultants' services to design 52 self-contained studio type supportive housing units on a parcel of land located at 1st Ave, Prince George. The project will also include up to 10,000 sq. ft of Office Space located on the ground floor; b) in addition to designing and constructing 52 self-contained units and related support and amenity spaces, the successful Proponent must also undertake and include services for the design of the office shell, based building systems and tenant improvements (TI's). TI's will require preparation of separate Contract Document packages for bidding and administrative purposes; c) ensuring that design, specifications and drawings meet the requirements of BC Housing Design Guidelines and Construction Standards, BC Housing Commissioning Guidelines, and the Appendix 9 [Project Requirements]; d) performing the Deliverables in phases each of which will depend on BC Housing's discretion and further funding availability. Any description or overview of the Deliverables and the draft Contract in this RFP is provided for convenience only and does not replace, supersede, supplement or alter the Contract. If there are any inconsistencies between the terms of the Contract and the description or overview of those terms set out in this RFP, the terms of the Contract will prevail. Proponents should carefully review the draft Contract including its attachments for the full scope of the Deliverables. A draft version of the Contract is attached as Appendix 8 [Draft Contract]. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
