For the construction of A Modernization ( Project ) at the Fort Jones Elementary School Campus. The project consists of A modernization of (E) school building to include remodel of (E) student toilet to provide (N) single-user toilet room, barrier removal to include (N) accessible ramp & (N) accessible path to the building entry and (N) parking and loading spaces as described in the project scope of work. All bids shall be submitted on the bid forms included in the project specifications. It is the sole responsibility of the bidder to see that his bid is received prior to the above time. Bids will be opened and read publicly at the time and place indicated. Bidders or their representatives and others interested are invited to be present. Any bids received after this time will be returned to the bidder unopened. The district plans for the project to start June 13, 2022. and to be completed by August 12, 2022. To bid on this Project, the bidder is required to be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations and possess one or more of the following State of California Contractor Licenses: A, and/or B. The bidder s registration and license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. This is a prevailing wage project. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if awarded the contract for the work. The successful bidder may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the District to ensure performance under the contract in accordance with the provisions of Section 22300 of the 2019 California Public Contract Code . The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularities in bids received. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for sixty (60) days after the date of the bid opening.
