Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Flagstaff, Arizona. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
As of December 21, 2023, an engineer has been selected for the project. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to 2024. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Project Type RFQual (Request for Qualification) Response Types Response File General Attachment Type of Award Lump Sum Bid Bond 0.00% Payment Bond 0.00% Performance Bond 0.00% Pre-Bid Meeting No Online Q&A No The Project is in the vicinity of Butler Avenue and Fourth Street in Flagstaff, Arizona, and can be generally described as a roadway, stormwater, and utility improvements Project. In general, the Project consists of widening present-day Butler Avenue from Little America to Sinagua Heights and widening present-day Fourth Street from Warm Springs Trail/Sparrow Avenue to the upcoming Canyon Del Rio development south of Butler Avenue (see Vicinity Map at Attachment C). Extensive public outreach and stakeholder engagement is expected during Project development, including the preparation of conceptual alternative designs and preliminary feasibility analyses. Several intersections, new and existing, will be impacted along Butler Avenue. The Herold Ranch Road intersection will be re-aligned and converted to a roundabout. The Butler Avenue and Fourth Street intersection will consider a roundabout vs signalized intersection and will be raised to reduce flooding impacts from Spruce Avenue Wash. The Peak Point intersection (not yet built) will also be impacted. Acquisition of new Right-of-Way is expected. Any contact pertaining to this selection process with elected officials must be scheduled, in person, through the Flagstaff City Clerk's Office, 211 W. Aspen Avenue, Flagstaff AZ 86001, and are posted by the City Clerk at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled meeting. The Clerk's posting shall include and detail the participants, the subject matter, and shall invite the public to participate. No contacts made by telephone, other than to schedule a public meeting, are permitted. Copies of contacts made by letter, e-mail, or other written method shall be made available to the public, press, and all submitting Firms, upon written request to the City Clerk. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
