Only general contractors or specialized contractors for this type of work having an establishment in Quebec or, when an intergovernmental agreement is applicable, in Quebec or in a province or territory covered by this agreement and holding the required license are eligible to bid. under the Building Act (RSQ, cB-1.1). The contractor must accompany its bid with a bid bond and a letter of commitment for the performance bond, valid for a period of forty-five (45) days from the date and time limit. for the receipt of tenders in the event that the amount of the tender presented is greater than $25,000. The amount of the guarantee must correspond to: ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, if the guarantee is provided in the form of a bid bond issued in favor of the organization, by an insurance company duly authorized to do business in Quebec and stand surety by the Autorité des marchés financiers.
