The Town of Sodus is seeking proposals from qualified individuals or consulting firms for for a Phase 1A Cultural Resources Investigation. The Town was awarded $85,580 from the NYS Environmental Protection Fund to construct a new western entrance and gravel parking area for Beechwood State Park. The Town manages the park on behalf of the state. The entrance will be located on Lake Road approximately 1200 feet west of the main entrance and 700 feet east of a private right of way currently used by visitors to access this section of the park. In accordance with grant requirements, this area must be investigated for cultural resources. Contract requirements can be fulfilled through subcontracting arrangements. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
