600 tons, more or less, of U.S. Southern course grain, water conditioning rock salt NSF 60 certified that meets AWWA B200-12, in bulk, by dump truck only; salt to be delivered between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. (EST) and to be delivered on dates specified by the City of Berne. Price shall be listed as per ton basis and delivered FOB City of Berne to Softener Brine Bin at California Street Water Plant. Price quotes shall be effective until January 1, 2024. Also, 200 tons, more or less, of treated deicing rock salt, to be delivered to the City of Berne Street Garage Bin at 305 S. Jefferson Street, and to be ordered by City of Berne on as needed basis with delivery no later than five (5) days after an order. Salt is to be delivered free of large chunks and may be dumped by tailgate. Contract for deicing salt shall be in force until January 1, 2024. In compliance with I.C. 22-5-1.7, all bidders, prior to entering into or renewing a contract for services with the City of Berne, shall sign a sworn affidavit that affirms that the business entity has enrolled and is participating in the E-Verify program; provides documentation to the City of Berne, Indiana that the business entity has enrolled and is participating in the E-verify program and signs an affidavit affirming that the business entity does not knowingly employ an unauthorized alien (I.C. 22-5-1.7-11(b). The bidder shall not be required to verify the work eligibility status of all newly hired employees through the program if the Program no longer exists. All bids shall be accompanied with a bond or certified check in the amount of Fifty Dollars ($50.00). The City of Berne reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
