Renovation of a municipal facility in Yuma, Arizona. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Yuma County Office of Construction Project Management provides planning, design and construction management support services for the majority of the County's departments and agencies, and their associated facilities. This RFP is being issued in response to the need to replace existing split-system HVAC units at the Yuma County Recorder and Election Services temporary office building, located at 102 S. Main Street, Yuma, AZ 85364. Contractors wishing to submit a proposal must be licensed and bonded in the State of Arizona and shall include pertinent evidence demonstrating applicable experience with projects of a similar size and scope. The Contractor shall propose a Total, All-Inclusive, Not-to-Exceed Maximum Price for the base proposal and all requested options, as well as any options proposed by the Contractor (listed separately). The cost proposal is to contain all pricing information relative to performing the scope of work as described in this RFP document and the associated construction documents. The total cost provided in the proposal shall include all direct and indirect costs. Yuma County is accepting turn-key proposals from qualified heating, ventilation and airconditioning contractors, hereafter referred to as "Contractor", to replace existing split-system (circa 1952) AC unit and associated equipment at the County's temporary Recorder and Election Services offices, located at 102 S. Main Street, Yuma, with existing (10) and (20) ton packaged AC units owned by the County, located at 185 S. Main Street, Yuma. Work to be performed in accordance with construction documents provided (and attached hereto) by Sternco Engineers, mechanical engineering firm. All work associated with the replacement, including that of electrical, plumbing, sheet metal, or other trades, shall be included as part of a lump-sum proposal amount. At the completion of the project, the Contractor shall provide County staff with training on all capacities, sequence of operations, and/or features of the overall system. Airflow shall be confirmed by an independent, third-party test and balance contractor. Contractor to provide a minimum two (2) year warranty on labor and installation, and to require minimum five (5) year warranty on equipment and materials from manufacturer (if applicable). Contractor shall acquire all necessary permits and arrange for all required testing with AJH. All questions or requested clarification regarding this RFP must be submitted in writing via email prior to 5:00 PM MST Thursday, June 2, 2022. No verbal answers or clarifications will be given either in person or via telephone. All answers, clarifications, or explanations will be issued in a written addendum. Contractor must acknowledge receipt of addenda as part of Exhibit 'A' submittal. All questions or requests for clarification are to be directed to David Hylland at david.hylland@yumacountyaz.gov. Once contract is signed by all parties, a Notice to Proceed (NTP) will be sent to the Contractor. Upon receipt of NTP, Contractor shall secure all materials needed for project, and a project schedule established and agreed upon jointly with Owner. Yuma County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to cancel any contract at any time, at the sole discretion of the County. Bid shall be awarded to the qualified bidder who met all requirements as stated in this RFP and has submitted the lowest-cost proposal. All nonawarded bidders shall be notified in writing within seven (7) days of closing date.
