As of June 8, 2025, a general contractor and engineer have been identified and the project is still in funding. A firm construction timeline has not been obtained. The Port of Newport invites you to submit a Statement of Consultant Qualifications to redesign, attain permits which will include design for mitigation projects that may consist of further construction and in-water projects, participate in data collection from Port users, and provide project management services through construction of the new Port Dock 7. The replacement of the public fishing pier in South Beach may be included in this project as mitigation. The Port of Newport (PON) invites you to submit a Statement of Consultant Qualifications (SOCQ) to redesign, attain permits which will include design for mitigation projects that may consist of further construction and in-water projects, participate in data collection from Port users, and provide project management services through construction of the new Port Dock 7 in the Newport Commercial Marina. The replacement of the public fishing pier in South Beach may be included in this project as mitigation for the new Port Dock 7. This is a multi-year project that will be dependent upon appropriation of funding through the construction phase. The Port has already approved the budget for the planning phase of this project. This project may include planning for other changes to other Port infrastructure as needed to support the project. Inquiries should be submitted in writing or via email no later than June 15th.
