Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a swimming pool; fitness / recreation center; and clubhouse / community center.
Design-Build construction of a new recreation facility/Leisure centre within the Holmwood suburban area. Scope for Option 1 to include: a 6-lane lap pool, leisure pool, and instructional swimming areas; gym; 4,000 sq ft fitness and wellness centre; multi-purpose rooms and childminding. Scope for Option 2 to include: an 11,000 sq ft fitness and wellness area and an 8-lane swimming pool. The building will be connected to the two new high schools in partnership with the public and catholic school boards. Site address to be confirmed. TIMELINE: Plans are conceptual. Council has narrowed down the potential options. Next steps include advancing work on the design-build procurement package for Option 1 while exploring a potential partnership with the YMCA; a report to council on status of partnership may be presented early 2027. Further update may be confirmed early 2027.
