As of September 26th, 2022, project was awarded to Sposeto Engineering, Inc., in the amount of $1,400,529.05. Project would begin construction in October 2022 and be completed by Spring 2023. The work includes the removal of existing thermoplastic swiping and markings, crack sealing, asphalt concrete deep-lift repairs, street ekaning, application of slurry seal, installation of thermoplastic striping and markings, and adjustment of utility manhole frames and covers, utility boxes, and monument boxes to finished grade. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cash, certified or cashier's check payable to City of Daly City, in an amount not leas than 10% of the aggregate bid. A valid Class A license or other combination of any Class C licenses that constitutes a majority of the contract work must be in the possession of the Aiccessful bidder at the time the bid is submitted. The time limit for the completion of work is one hundred and twenty-five (12$) working days. The first day of this time period will he no later than the 28* calendarday after the contract award. In accordance with the California Labor Code, general prevailing hourly rates of per diem wages shall be paid on this project. California Labor Code Section 1771.1. (a) A contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defused in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. It is not a violation of this section for an unregistered contractor to submit a bid that is authorized by Section 7029.1 of the Business and Professions Code or by Section 10164 or 20103.5 of the Public Contract Code, provided the contractor is registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded. Pursuant to the California Public Contract Code, securities may be substituted for money withheld to insult contract performance. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in such bids and, if awarded, to award the contract in the best interest of the City.
