Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Addison, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

As of July 5, 2022, project was awarded to Brothers Asphalt Paving Inc. , awarded amount is $2,819,236.40. This rehabilitation project consists of improvements to various roads in the Village as shown in the plans. The street program generally consists of HMA removal, pavement patching, leveling binder, prime, and surface course, PCC curb & gutter remove & replace, longitudinal joint sealant, and pavement marking. In addition to the general work described above, the street program also includes removal and disposal of unsuitable material, aggregate subgrade improvement, storm sewer, pipe underdrain, drainage/utility structure work, driveway apron and sidewalk replacement, and the restoration along the affected portions of work limits, as directed. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Deposit (bid bond or cashier's check) in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid. Bid Bonds must be signed by a surety company authorized to do business in Illinois, and made payable to the Village of Addison. The amount of the bond shall be clearly stated on the bid form. This is the Village's guarantee that a bidder will execute an agreement and furnish a Performance Bond and Insurance as provided in bid specifications if awarded the contract. Any bid submitted that does not include a bid deposit will be rejected. The successful Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract sum as a security for the faithful performance of this Contract, and a Labor and Mechanical Payment Bond in an amount of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract sum as a security for the payment of all persons performing labor and furnishing materials in connection under this Contract. All bidders must be pre-qualified and an IDOT Certificate of Eligibility is required. The project is governed by LRS12, Wages of Employees of Public Works (for DuPage County). The Village of Addison reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive minor irregularities in any bid.
