Renovation of an educational facility in Farmingdale, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Farmingdale State College is seeking qualifications from firms to develop a design plan for the rehabilitation of the Campus Commons. Scope of Services The services needed will be for a full rehabilitation of entire building and the immediate surrounding site; updating to meet current building codes and proposed use. This would include but not limited to, hazard materials testing, abatement, structural examination and design, demolition, removing skylights & asphalt roof, installing new standing seam roof, replacing all exterior windows and doors; clean, refinish, and/or upgrade exterior wall finishes; new fire sprinkler service and distribution; fire detection and alarm; new electric service from adjacent transformer & distribution; new plumbing (ADA restrooms, pantry), new electric water heater(s) for domestic water and heat; new HVAC equipment (type TBD - HWH or campus steam), distribution, & BMS; low voltage (AV/IT/Security); finishes throughout; landscaping & site lighting. Include all programming, design, administration of design and construction phases per college standards and requirements.
