The Work consists of rehabilitation of a portion of Owners Petaluma Aqueduct at the SMART train crossing, located near 2835 Duke Court, Santa Rosa California and APN 043-091-040, an empty lot located between 2727 Dowd Drive and 2811 Dowd Drive, Santa Rosa, California 95407. The Work includes, but is not limited to, excavation, shoring and installation of two temporary line stops; excavation, shoring and installation of two 24-inch diameter isolation valves; temporary removal and replacement of two 24-inch AWWA C200 welded steel pipe 45-degree ells; repair of the aqueduct; backfill; and surface restoration. Work shall be completed within 75 Days from the date when Contract Time commences to run. Bidding Documents contain the full description of the Work. ARTICLE 2 - LEGAL REQUIREMENTS Required Contractor's License(s): A California "A" contractor's license is required to bid this contract. Joint ventures must secure a joint venture license prior to award of this Contract. Substitution of Securities: Owner will permit the successful bidder to substitute securities for any retention monies withheld to ensure performance of the contract, as set forth in Section 00 68 00 (Escrow Agreement for Security Deposits in Lieu of Retention) and incorporated herein in full by this reference, in accordance with section 22300 of the California Public Contract Code. Prevailing Wage Laws: This Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The successful Bidder must comply with all prevailing wage laws applicable to the Project, and related requirements contained in the Contract Documents. To Bid on this Project, a contractor must be registered to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. Copies of the general prevailing rates of per diem wages for each craft, classification, or type of worker needed to execute the Contract, as determined by Director of the State of California Department of Industrial Relations, are on file at Owner's Office and are deemed included in the Bidding Documents. Upon request, Owner will make available copies to any interested party. Also, the successful Bidder shall post the applicable prevailing wage rates at the Site in addition to all other job site notices prescribed by regulations. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
