Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Urbana, Ohio. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
This project includes the installation of an ADA compliant double door with automatic push button opening inside and outside the Village of North Lewisburg Office. The proposals must be made on the forms provided in the Contract Documents or a copy thereof and shall contain the full name and address of the bidder. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of 100% of the bid or by a certified check, cashiers check, or letter of credit on a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the bid, subject to conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the Bid in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Furthermore, upon inspection and release of the performance bond, the awarded project contractor shall submit a maintenance bond in the amount of one half of the original performance bond amount. The maintenance bond shall remain in full force for 12 months until final inspection and acceptance of the work by all parties covered under the bond. Bidders are required to submit four (4) copies of their bid. This project is funded with Community Development Block Grant funds. Therefore, this project is a prevailing wage contract in accordance with the federal Davis-Bacon Wage Laws. Bidders shall comply with all applicable provisions of the federal prevailing wage laws. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the Equal Employment Opportunity laws, Federal Labor Standards, encouragement of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) utilization, various insurance requirements, and Section 3 Requirements. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening thereof. Awarding of bids will be determined by the Champaign County Commission in the best interest of the County and, they reserve the right to reject any or all bids.
