The general scope of this contract is to provide the County of Perth and its purchasing partners the supply of treated and untreated bulk highway salts on an as needed, when needed basis. Work under this contract shall include all labour, equipment and materials necessary for the supply and loading of treated and untreated salt as may be required for snow and ice control. The hauling of bulk material from the successful vendors depot location(s) to the various municipal operations sites will be coordinated under a separate independent contract. The County and its purchasing partners may require an initial supply of materials supplied under this contract prior to the winter season depending on quantities in reserve at each municipal site. Subsequent materials will be required routinely as required, throughout the winter season as directed by the municipal designate in order to ensure adequate supply is on hand at each municipal storage site.
