Site work for a municipal facility in Denver, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility.
The pride of the west mill has high lead (PB) soils across much of the surface of the site. Concentrations are above 2,100 PPM (which is the screening level) and can be measured as high as 1,000,000 PPM. The mill site will be covered with clean cover materials, as defined as materials below 2,100 PPM PB and revegetated. The covered areas will be revegetated with native plant species, including any salvageable willows, shrubs, and trees on site. Access to the site will be blocked off with boulders to prevent disturbance of the site, per landowners request, and to protect the revegetation efforts. There is a project provision for limestone addition, if required, to raise the ph of any of the soils if necessary to prevent leaching of heavy metals.
