The work shall be completed in phases as indicated on the Construction Phasing Drawings, in order to allow the Owner partial and continuing occupancy of the existing building during construction. To protect students and staff health and enhance the learning environment of school children, the new school building has been designed with CHPS (Collaborative for High Performance Schools) criteria in mind and must achieve the CHPS Designed status. The Contractor must be familiar with VA-CHPS criteria and responsibilities that accompany a CHPS project.

C. Normal operations shall be maintained during the course of the school year. The
FCPS School year calendar is attached for Contractor's reference (Insert a copy
of the calendar here or at the end of Section).
