As of August 4th, all bids for this project have been rejected, no plans to rebid at this point. The work for which bids are being requested is located on the east side of North Eaton Street (BL-94) from East Watson Street to B Drive North in the City of Albion. The work for which bids are being requested consists of sidewalk removal and replacement, sidewalk ramp removal and replacement, concrete curb & gutter removal and replacement, concrete approach removal and replacement, HMA removal and hand patching, tree removals, drainage structure adjustments, gate box adjustments, sign removal and replacement, and various appurtenances. The City of Albion reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. A certified check or bank draft drawn on a solvent bank in the State of Michigan payable without condition to the City of Albion or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company, in an amount equal to 5 percent of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days to allow the review of proposals and to allow completion of necessary financial arrangements. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price. Bond forms are included in the Contract Documents.
