Spokane Valley Fire Department (SVFD) requests qualifications from Design-Builders for the construction of a new Fire Station 11, using the procedure permitted under Chapter 39.10 of the RCW, as amended, for selected projects for public works contracting in lieu of sealed bids. The project consists of a new, 10,500 sq. ft. fire station. The project construction budget is approximately $5.0 million. Design is anticipated to begin in August 2022 and completed in January 2023. Construction is anticipated between March 2023 to December 2023. The Design-Builder shall provide high-quality services including scheduling, phasing logistics, collaboration with the design consultants, manage and estimate design budgets and design contingency solutions, direct construction best-practices, organize design investigative work and provide assistance in the selection of materials and building systems, solicit and manage subcontractor bid packages and supplier bidding.The Design-Builder shall provide high-quality construction services to safely deliver a superior project that comprises the full scope of program needs set by SVFD that is on time and within budget.The Request for Qualifications outlines the information necessary to understand this selection process and the documentation required for submitting proposals.
