This request does not obligate the Government in any contract award. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District is issuing the sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support the requirement for the civil works construction of wells, tanks, & water distribution systems at Upper and Lower Dissolved Oxygen facilities. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The Product Service Code is Y1PZ - Repair and Alteration of Other Non-Building Facilities. In accordance with FAR 36.204, Disclosure of the Magnitude of the Construction Project is $1M-$5M. Statement of Work SHEP - Upper and Lower Dissolved Oxygen Facilities VTP Bearing Flush Water Wells, Tanks, and Distribution Systems This project is for the construction of a well, pressure tank, and distribution system of fresh water to the vertical turbine pumps at each of the Upper and Lower Dissolved Oxygen facilities. The deep-water wells will be drilled and fitted with pumps to accommodate up to 100k gallons per day. The distribution system will also allow a tie-in for future improvements at these locations. Overall, well distraction will not exceed 100k gallons per day. The Upper Dissolved Oxygen (DO) Plant is located on the Savannah River near the City of Rincon in Effingham County, Georgia 31326. The Lower Dissolved Oxygen Plant is located on Hutchinson Island in the City of Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia 31421. Each plant operates continuously from mid-June through November each year.
