For the three highest priority subbasins within the City. The City is authorized to discharge to waters of the state by the Department of Ecology's Western Washington Phase II Municipal Stormwater Permit. The current permit includes requirements for each permittee to complete a thorough SMAP process to prevent water quality degradation and improve water quality and habitat in receiving water. Selection of Firms to Interview June 13, 2022 The City of Tumwater has been working on the first two steps in the SMAP process: completing a receiving water assessment and a receiving water prioritization. We are seeking a consulting firm to complete the last step in the process, creating Stormwater Management Action Plans. Any questions concerning the City specifications or RFQ process shall be directed to Dave Kangiser, Water Resources Specialist. The City reserves the right to reject any and all SOQs, and to waive minor irregularities in any SOQ. Any SOQ may be withdrawn up until the date and time set above for the opening of the SOQs. Any SOQ not so timely withdrawn shall constitute an irrevocable offer, for a period of ninety (90) days to provide to the City the services described in the attached specifications, or until one or more of the SOQs have been approved by the City administration, whichever occurs first. The City of Tumwater is seeking a consultant to complete three SMAPs, one for each of the three highest priority subbasins within City limits. Each subbasin will be approximately 400- 600 acres and the top three will be identified when the City finishesthe prioritization process in June of this year. The first SMAP for the highest priority basin shall be completed by March 31, 2023, to meet permit deadlines. The other two SMAPs shall be completed by June 30, 2024. The method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
