The project consists of utility improvements, roadway reconstruction including the replacement of hma berms/sidewalks and installation of cement concrete wheelchair ramps, including all labor, material and equipment necessary to complete the Work. Questions concerning the bid specifications must be submitting in writing via email to Attn: Mark Dascoli at mdascoli@marlborough-ma.gov no later than 3 business days prior to the scheduled bid opening. All questions and answers shall be distributed as an addendum to all on record as having received the bid documents. Bids are subject to M.G.L., c. 30, 39M, and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L c.149, 26 through 27H inclusive Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit of not less than five (5%) percent ofthe value ofthe bid in accordance with M.G.L. c. 30, 39 M (a), and made payable to the City of Marlborough, the Awarding Authority. The bid deposit may be submitted in the form of a certified check, a treasurers or cashiers check issued by a responsible bank or trust company or a Bid Bond. In lieu of a Bid Bond, deposit checks must be submitted in a sealed envelope with a completed Bid Bond Affidavit form and received by the City before the bidding deadline. In accordance with the provisions of applicable statutes, laws, rules, regulations, and ordinances, the City of Marlborough does not discriminate in employment or the provision ofservices and all qualified contractors will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, religious creed, gender, handicap, sexual orientation, veterans status or national origin.
