A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Redevelopment Authority of the City of Uniontown 20 North Gallatin Avenue, Suite 216 Uniontown, PA 15401 Final Requests for Information (RFI) are due no later than 1 pm on Friday, June 10, 2022. The RACU Board will vote at their regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 4:00 PM in Uniontown City Hall located at 20 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, PA 15401. The project consists of: Rehabilitation of a former fire hall into an Emergency Operations Center in the East End of Uniontown. The project is a two story (with basement) City of Uniontown Fire Station no longer in service consisting of stone foundation, concrete, block and steel structure with brick veneer and built-up roofing. Exterior Work scheduled is to Demolish the existing trees directly in contact with the structure; stumps to remain. Demolish Existing Overgrowth as required to proceed unobstructed. Grind, clean and repoint mortar joints. Demolish Existing thru-wall air conditioners, frame, insulate and sheath for water-tight conditions. Demolish Existing Second Floor Windows of the Front Elevation and Replace in-kind. Perform Roof and Cornice/Soffit Repair as directed. Interior Structural Work scheduled is to Saw-Cut and Demolish a portion of the Existing Basement Floor. Construct a concrete structural foundation footer and CMU Pilaster to underside of the Existing Steel Beams with adequate bearing. Repair the Stone Foundation wall by additional materials and parging in the area of the Constructed Pilaster. First Floor: Construct an accessible restroom on the first floor. Second Floor: Abate the Existing Second Floor Tile. Demolish the entire Second Floor to structure. The Existing Kitchen Cabinets and other Furniture to remain. Replace Wall Insulation as required. Cap and disconnect utilities. Electrical: Upgrade the Electrical Service to a 200A with external disconnect and relocate interior existing panels to the Basement. Install lighting in the Basement. Energize all new equipment. Mechanical/Plumbing: Provide Three (3) Unit Heaters. Provide Restroom Fixtures and Water Heater, and associated supply, sanitary, vents and gas plumbing. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days once filed with the Owner. RACU reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. Owner further reserves the right to reject the Bid of any Bidder whom it finds, after reasonable inquiry and evaluation, to be non-responsible. Owner also reserves the right to waive all informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the Work and to negotiate contract terms with the Successful Bidder.
