Renovation of a mixed-use development in Sneedville, Tennessee. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Hancock County Schools is seeking sealed bids for the following project: Engineering/ Architectural Drawings for a Change of Occupancy/Sprinkler Expansion Per State Fire Marshal's Report: The Hancock County Schools System seeks a change of occupancy of two storage units (non-sprinklered) attached to a sprinklered educational occupancy. The two rooms total roughly 1,340 feet, each has double doors in the front and windows on the rear wall. Both doors egress directly outside the rooms. Both rooms are non sprinklered. All other mechanical systems are in place including electrical, plumbing, hvac and lighting. An initial inspection has been conducted by the State Fire Marshal's Office. The report states, "After reviewing the proposed occupancy changes, the rooms and the lack of fire suppression (sprinklers) plans would have to be submitted by a licensed architect (Tennessee) to the State Fire Marshal's Office for review". All bids must include a proposed timeline for the completion of work, including submission to the State Fire Marshal's Office.
