Renovation of a water / sewer project in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Advertisement sealed bids for furnishing all labor, tools, equipment of every description, all materials and supplies except those described herein as expressly being supplied by the atlantic city municipal utilities authority (the authority) and furnishing whatever else is necessary to furnish, deliver and install grandular activated carbon at the authority's filter building in pleasantville and faa technical center, egg harbor township nj., and such related work as is specifically described in and in strict accordance with specifications for said work adopted by the board of directors of the atlantic city municipal utilities authority Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check drawn upon a national or state bank or trust company, payable to the atlantic city municipal utilities authority in the amount of not less than ten percentum (10%) of the total amount bid; or a bid bond for the same amount, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a surety bond of a company authorized to do business in the state of new jersey in a sum equal to one hundred percentum (100%) of the total contract price. All proposals must be submitted on the proposal form approved and adopted as aforesaid or on an exact replica as to wording and punctuation.Bidders attention is called to the requirements of n.J.R.S. 34-11.56.25 et seq., prevailing wages on public contracts, and united states department of labor determination decision no. Nj 75-3049 mod. No. 5, with the higher rate for any given occupation being the governing rate, and n.J.S.A. 10:2-2-1 et seq., prohibiting discrimination in employment on public contracts. Bids may be mailed or delivered to the atlantic city municipal utilities authority, 401 n. Virginia avenue, post office box 117, atlantic city, nj 08404, or presented to the purchasing board of the said authority in the authority conference room, 401 n. Virginia avenue, atlantic city, nj, at the time of calling for proposals. The board of directors of the atlantic city municipal utilities authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids if it deems it in the public interest to do so.
