The proposed work included in this Contract is located in the community of Six Nations of the Grand River (Six Nations), approximately 20 kilometres south of the City of Brantford in Southern Ontario. The location of the work is Culvert 2040 on Onondaga Road, approximately 450 metres north of Third Line in Ohsweken, Ontario. Replacement of Existing Oversized CSP Culvert with New CSP Culvert on Onondaga Road between Third line and Fourth Line. The proposed work primarily involves the supply of all labour, materials and equipment as necessary for the Replacement of Culvert No. 2040 as indicated on the drawings and described herein. All work shall be completed in accordance with the Contract Documents and Drawings. The Tender includes: - Removal and disposal of existing arch CSP culvert on Onondaga Road and 3rd Line (Culvert No. C2040), installation of a temporary by-pass CSP culvert (28 m in length, 1050 mm diameter). - Temporary support of the by-pass culvert, temporary cofferdams and other measures / works, as indicated in the contract drawings (all in-water works must be completed by July 15, 2022). - Locate existing natural gas main and watermain, locate alignment & depth of both utilities before starting to any site works. - Install the new 28 m CSP culvert of 2920 mm Span x 1920 mm rise. - Full traffic closure for culvert replacement, 50mm HL-3 (match existing grading), 100mm HL-8 (2 - 50mm thick shifts), 150 mm of Granular A, 600mm of Granular B Type III, backfilling of the new culvert with Granular B Type I material. - Maintain driveway access at all times during construction and for the duration of the contract. - Install 350 mm well graded R-10 rip-rap throughout culvert bottom.
