This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Easton, Pennsylvania. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.

The City of Easton, located in Northampton County, Pennsylvania, is accepting proposals to identify a qualified firm who will work with the City and its stakeholders to create a detailed site plan with appropriate elevations of three (3) key parcels located within the transitional corridor between the City's College Hill Neighborhood/ Lafayette College and the West Ward Neighborhood and the $100 million Silk Mill redevelopment project. The subject parcels are located at 1100, 1111, and 1164 Bushkill Drive and they comprise of a total land area of roughly 15 acres of which about 6 acres is appropriate for development given topography and other features. The purpose of this RFP is to solicit price proposals to create a detailed site plan to accommodate the development needs of the subject property. As explained in the background section of this RFP, there are three lots that constitute the subject property which, at this point in time, is identified to become residential apartments on the north parcel and then a mix of residential/ commercial on the south parcels. The prospective developer of these structures is VM Development. In addition to VM's proposal, the Nurture Nature Center is proposing to build a roughly 30,000 sq. ft. environmental science center on the south parcels that will house a planetarium. The ultimate goal of the planning effort is to find the right mix of size and scale for each of the developments and identify how they interact with each other on the site. This will include parking, trail, outdoor exhibits, circulation (both vehicle and pedestrian), and structure size/location/orientation. These attributes will be represented on the site plan as well as renderings from different angles and locations. It is important to note that the renderings are not for highly detailed architectural purposes but rather to convey an understanding of the relationships between physical objects on the site. Questions regarding this RFP shall be submitted in writing to mhammerstone@easton-pa.gov by 2:00 p.m. on June 22, 2022. Answers to all questions will be sent out as an addendum to this RFP to the email addresses provided by prospective proposers. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
