Project overview: The work to be done for this project, shown on the Drawings entitled, "District Wide Flush Bathrooms at Waterfall Glen and Wood Dale Grove Forest Preserves," prepared by the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County dated July 6, 2022, consists of the construction of two (2), approximately 800 square foot flush bathrooms and associated sitework; one at Waterfall Glen Forest Preserve in Willowbrook and the second at Wood Dale Grove Forest Preserve in Addison. The bathrooms consist of CMU construction and major components include concrete, masonry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical. Site work includes concrete sidewalks, utility connections, well water supply systems, septic systems and general landscape work. The project has two alternates that upgrades the finish of the CMU wall system to an anti-graffiti coating and upgrades the finish of interior concrete floors to a 2- part epoxy finish. This project is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq. The contractor shall also abide by the employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act (30 ILCS 570, sec 1-7). The Forest Preserve Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities. Consideration of contract award will likely be made on Tuesday, August 16, 2022.
