Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Bedford, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The Contractor shall remove and dispose of all existing loam, shrubs, rock, and any bituminous material to the specified limits. Joints at driveways, roadways, or abutting sidewalks shall be neatly saw cut. The Contractor will be responsible for removing and resetting all mailboxes, signs, posts, fences and curbs, loaming and reseeding all damaged landscaped areas as directed. Trees and shrubs damaged by the Contractor shall be removed and replaced with trees and shrubs comparable in species and size at an appropriate growing time. Retainage will be held from final payment until such replacement work is satisfactorily completed. All work done under this contract shall be in conformance with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Public Works Bituminous Paving, Pavement Preservation/Cold in Place Recycling, Bituminous Sidewalks
