Only contractors having an establishment in Quebec or, when an intergovernmental agreement is applicable, in a province covered by this agreement and holding, where applicable, an appropriate construction contractor license issued by the Régie des Quebec construction companies. Requirements Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond issued in favor of the Municipality of Sainte-Claire in the amount equivalent to ten percent (10%) of the total bid including taxes. Only a bid bond established by an insurer holding an insurer license issued by the Autorité des marchés financiers and authorizing it to carry out guarantee activity within the meaning of the Insurance Act and in accordance with standardized form BNQ 1809 900 /H will be accepted under the terms of the tender documents. This bond must guarantee the provision of a performance bond and a bond for the payment of labour, materials and services according to the standardized forms BNQ 1809-900/J and BNQ 1809-900/ D each for a value of fifty percent (50%) of the contract. This bond must be valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of opening of tenders. The work should begin around August 22 following the approval of the loan by-law by the MAMH and be completed within twenty-eight (28) consecutive calendar days. The awarding of the contract will be conditional on the approval of the loan by-law by the MAMH, which is currently in progress.
