The City of Fort Scott (City) is taking proposals for: One electric entry gate with keypad to be constructed at a site located at the Ft. Scott Municipal Airport, 1869 Indian Road, Ft. Scott, Kansas 66701. The following will be furnished and installed: 1. New galvanized chain link fence to cover an 18 foot opening or use the already existing 60-40 split gate 2. Liftmaster opener(s) to open and close gate that is being quoted (New or existing). 3. Wireless entry keypad with mount for access from automobile. 4. Sensors to be able to exit the airport ramp without use of keypad or remote button openers . 5. All electrical wiring and hookups to building that is approximately 30 foot away. 6. Guarantee that equipment and workmanship will be free from defects under normal usage for 1 year. The Contractor must provide liability insurance in the amount of $500,000 plus Workers Compensation on all those who will perform work on the project. Each sealed envelope containing a BID must be plainly marked on the outside as BID for Ft. Scott Municipal Airport machinery building, and the envelope should bear on the outside the BIDDER'S name, address, and license number if applicable, and the name of the project for which the BID is submitted. The OWNER may make such investigations as deemed necessary to determine the ability of the BIDDER to perform the WORK, and the BIDDER shall furnish to the OWNER all such information and data for this purpose as the OWNER may request. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any BID if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such BIDDER fails to satisfy the OWNER that such BIDDER is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the Agreement and to complete the WORK contemplated therein. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor defects or reject any and all bids according to City policy guidelines. Any BID received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. No BIDDER may withdraw a BID within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Should there be reasons why the contract cannot be awarded within the specified period, the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the OWNER and the BIDDER.
