**As of October 18 ,2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The work generally includes the installation of point of entry (whole house) reverse osmosis systems for select residential homes in the Township and is more particularly described in the bid specifications. The Township of Knowlton is undertaking this effort to install whole house reverse osmosis treatment systems to remove the excess sodium from select residential well water supply. The system would be installed at individual homes, which utilize their own residential well. At this time, the exact number of homes requiring a whole house system has not yet been determined. For the purposes of this RFP, bidders should assume that 24 homes will require a reverse osmosis system. The final number will be established after the contractor is selected. The contractor will be compensated based upon the actual number of homes the system is installed within. Bids must be delivered to the Knowlton Township Municipal Building located at 628 Route 94, Columbia, NJ 07832. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check, bank draft, or bid bond and made payable to the order of Knowlton Township in the amount of at least ten percent of the total bid; provided said check of bid bond shall not exceed $20,000.00. All bid guarantees shall be accompanied by an executed consent form from an approved surety company, licensed to conduct business in the State of New Jersey, agreeing to furnish the required Performance Bond upon award of contract. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond for the sum of the full amount of the contract. The Township of Knowlton assumes no responsibility for bids returned by mail or delivered after the deadline for submission of bids. Contractor shall be required to provide a copy of its business registration certificate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-23.2 upon award of contract. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq and N.J.A.C. 17:27. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or part, or to make awards to such bidder who, in the judgement of the Township of Knowlton makes the most advantageous bid and to waive such informalities as may be permitted by law. The successful bidder shall supply all labor, materials and equipment required to complete the work as set forth in the general provisions of the Specifications and contract, including any supplementary specifications issued. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of the bids or any authorized postponement thereof. Bids received after time and date designated shall not be considered. No bidder may withdraw a bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. All awards will be based on a lump sum basis. Specifications, Contract Documents, and forms of bids may be inspected by prospective bidders during business hours, Mon-Tues-Thurs-Friday, 8:00AM - 4:00PM. Checks should be made payable to Knowlton Township. There will be no charge to email documents.
