This project consists of LED light upgrades at Bleser Park located at 32800 Electric Blvd in the City of Avon Lake. All labor, material and equipment needed shall be provided by the bidder. Bidder must be a licensed electrical contractor with the State of Ohio. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of the Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor s Executive Order of 1972, and Governor s Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Bids MUST be submitted on the form supplied in the Specifications and contain the full name of every person, firm or corporation interested therein and be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of either a certified or cashier s check drawn on a solvent bank in the State of Ohio, together with a consent surety, in the amount of (10%) of the total bid, made payable to the City of Avon Lake, Ohio or a bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid drawn in favor of the City of Avon Lake, all as prescribed in O.R.C. 153.54, and as guarantee that, if the bid accepted, a contract will be entered into with the City, and in default, thereof, said check or bond will be forfeited to the City of Avon Lake as liquidated damages, subject to conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory performance, labor and material and guarantee bonds in the amounts stated in the specifications. The Contractor shall be required to pay not less than the minimum wage rates established by the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of Ohio. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Lorain County and the City of Avon Lake, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration, 614.644.2239. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids, but no bidder shall withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual bid opening.
