The District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority (DC Water) is issuing Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit Technical Proposals from qualified contractors interested in providing Cleaning of Major Sewers. DC Water runs a robust water and sewer pipeline condition assessment (PCA) program. The program has a budget of $20 million over a period of 5 years in the Capital Improvement Program (CIP). The successful contractor will clean the sewers in support of the work being conducted under the PCA program executed by others. The successful contractor will be a recognized expert cleaning sewers. The successful contractor will also demonstrate successful experience coordinating multiple projects and with multiple parties. It is anticipated that the services to be provided pursuant to this RFP may be required for up to three (3) years from Contract execution date which is presumed to be spring 2022. The base contract period will be three (3) years and could be extended at the discretion of DC Water. It is the intent of DC Water that the successful contractor will transfer all project related systems, processes, and information to DC Water and/or its designee/s prior to the conclusion of the Contract. Award of this Contract does not guarantee the services of the sub-contractors for the full Contract period. DC Water, at its sole discretion, may decide to change the sub-contractors at any time during the Contract period based on scope requirements. Under the direction of the Director of Engineering and Technical Services, or his designee/s, the selected contractor shall provide cleaning and inspection of sewers activities.
