For a filing cabinet system that will maximize allocated space to maintain active files for the Housing Choice Voucher program. PBCHA will enter into an agreement with the firm(s) whose proposal(s)is most advantageous to PBCHA. Palm Beach County Housing Authority is soliciting proposals for a filing cabinet system that will maximize allocated space to maintain active files for the Housing Choice Voucher program. This project should be considered a Design/Build Project. The successful Contractor shall have a minimum of five (5) years' experience providing High Density Mobile shelving and Fixture services for commercial projects. The successful Contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment, labor, transportation and permits necessary to provide the services described herein. The services will include a full turnkey solution. To include removing walls as necessary and floor covering. Also, to include preparing the rooms for the installation of the shelving systems. PBCHA can provide original drawings, but additional drawings will be the responsibility of the contractor for permitting process. The successful Contractor must be familiar with building code and permitting process in West Palm Beach County. The successful Contractor shall have the technical capability and employ enough trained technicians and/or approved subcontractors to prepare site, install systems, and resulting in a completely functional filing space within the Palm Beach County Housing Authority agreed upon time frame. The successful Contractor shall provide High Density mobile shelving to accommodate approximately 5,000 legal size folders. Average file size assumption should be 1.5 inches thick. Provision to expand in the future allowing for growth is recommended. The file system must fit in an area approximately 31'x12.5'. Each mobile unit will be mechanical, with manual cranking systems. The area has a concrete flooring, and all tracks must be anchored to that flooring to provide stable and durable shelving. Top of the unit shelving should be reachable by person of average height without the assistance of stepstool or ladder. Units must be able to lock when collapsed with endcap, so no files are exposed when locked
