Work includes, but is not limited to: traffic control, road widening, micro-surfacing, rubberized chip seal, placement of asphalt concrete paving, shoulder backing, and striping. Questions must be submitted by June 21, 2022. Answers will be posted on 5:00 p.m. on June 24, 2022. No pre-bid meeting is scheduled for this project. At the time this contract is awarded, the Contractor shall possess a Class A license. The Contractor must be properly licensed as a contractor from contract award through contract acceptance in accordance with Public Contract Code 20103.5 Bids are required for the entire work described herein. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informality' or irregularity in any bid received or in the bidding process. If the County' awards the contract, the award is made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. This contract is subject to state contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code 12990 **As of August 25, 2022, project was awarded to Vintage Paving Company, awarded amount is $772,623.95.** The contract documents may be examined at the office of the County of Yolo Department of Community' Services, Public Works Division Inquiries or questions based on alleged patent ambiguity of the plans, specifications or estimate must be communicated as a bidder inquiry' prior to bid opening. Any such inquiries or questions, submitted after bid opening, will not be treated as a bid protest. The County of Yolo affirms that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. No bid will be received unless it is made on a proposal forms furnished by Yolo County Department of Community' Services, Public Works Division. Copies or facsimiles of the bidder's completed and executed proposal forms submitted as a bid will be rejected. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bidder's bond made payable to Yolo County for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the amount of bid, such guaranty to be forfeited should the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to enter into the contract. If a bond is used, it must be signed by the bidder and by two signatories of an authorized surety' company all as provided by law. Twenty-five (25) working days are allowed for completion of the work. All bids will be compared using the Engineer's Estimate of the quantities of work on the Bid Item List.
