The City of Marietta, Ohio will receive sealed bids for the materials and labor necessary for the construction of the 2022 Citywide Asphalt Resurfcing & ADA Curb Ramps Project. The City of Marietta may choose to not award the bid-and bidders shall hold bids open-until sixty days after the bid opening. The work for which bids are invited consists of: Milling, asphalt resurfacing with placement of 1 " asphalt concrete, pavement striping, adjustment of utilities, manholes and lampholes on 8 City streets and reconstruction of 11 sidewalk ADA curb ramps with truncated domes and partial sidewalk replacement along the project route. The cost estimate for the Project is $563,797.00 - Base Bid and $174,102.00 for Bid Alternate #1. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in bond form shall be issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide the surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed by October 14, 2022. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of their work. Payment of Prevailing Wages is required for this project. The City of Marietta reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding process, and to enter into a contract with the bidder who, in the City's opinion, offers the lowest and best bid.
