The Town of Vernon, Connecticut is seeking proposals from qualified firms for a connected irrigation system for fields #2 and #3 within the recreation complex being developed at 60 Windermere Avenue, Ellington, Connecticut. While this project is located within the corporate limits of the Town of Ellington, it is a Vernon Funded and Directed effort. A responding firm must have demonstrated experience in providing such service and adhere to standards and requirements typical for such service. Questions about this RFP should be directed to Martin Sitler, Director of Parks and Recreation, by email only to msitler@vernon-ct.gov, no later than Wednesday, April 12, 2023 The intent of these specifications is to describe the design and installation of a connected irrigation system for fields #2 and #3 within the recreation complex being developed at 60 Windermere Avenue, Ellington, Connecticut. The work to be performed is the design and installation of a connected irrigation system for fields #2 and #3 within the recreation complex. Technical Requirements -Bidders are to supply all materials, labor delivery, and installation of a complete, connected, and functioning irrigation system for fields #2 and #3. Must include the restoration of all disturbed areas both on and off the fields with screened topsoil, athletic seed blend, and fertilizer.
