The Town of Ellington is seeking qualifications and proposals from qualified firms to provide Construction Management-At-Risk (CMR) services in connection with the Renovate-to-New, Extension/Alteration project for the Windermere Elementary School (the "Project"). This solicitation is both a request for qualifications and a request for proposals ("RFQ/RFP"). Interested and qualified parties who have demonstrated their ability at comparable work are invited to submit qualifications and proposals. No proposal may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after opening of the same without approval and written consent of the Town of Ellington. The Town of Ellington reserves the right to amend or terminate this Request for Qualification & Proposal, to reject any or all qualifications & proposals, to waive any informalities, omissions, excess verbiage or technical defects in the qualification or proposal, and the Town need not necessarily award the contract to the lowest proposer if, in the opinion of the Town, it would be in the best interest of the Town of Ellington to accept another qualification or proposal because of the greater expertise, experience, resources, efficiency or familiarity with the Town of the proposer. The approximate construction budget for this Project for planning purposes is as follows: Construction cost (Target GMP): Approx. $51,000,000 (including all environmental conditions) In its final form, the school will serve a Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 6 population of approximately 739 students and will total approximately 95,000 square feet. The total Project cost, inclusive of soft costs, is $61,640,000. Respondents are hereby notified not to contact any member of the PBC or Town / School District staff and its elected officials, except as provided herein regarding this RFQ/RFP.
