Site work and paving for a civil project in Lyons, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The work under this Contract will consist generally of the following: Roadway construction along an existing dirt road, including traffic control, erosion control measures, and construction of of 1,272 LF of 24 RCP, 712 LF of 36 RCP, & 80 LF of 48 RCP side drain & storm drain pipe, 67 CY of concrete headwalls & aprons, 2.79 Lin. Miles of mainline roadway grading, 43,162 TN of graded aggregate base course, 4,545 TN of 12.5 mm RAC superpave, signage, striping, and all other necessary appurtenances for a complete job. All work on the Project must be completed within 365 consecutive calendar days of date of notice to proceed. No bid will be considered unless sealed and filed with Toombs County prior to the time set forth above, and accompanied by a Bidder's Bond, payable to Toombs County, for 10 percent of the amount of the bid; to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid be accepted and the bidder fail to enter promptly into a written contract and furnish the required Payment Bond and Performance Bond and Insurance Certificates. Bids arriving after the designated time will be returned unopened. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of bids. Toombs County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to overlook and/or disregard informalities or irregularities in the proposals. Bid Deadline is 10:59am on Tuesday July 12th, 2022
