**As of July 13, 2022, project was awarded to North West Georgia Paving but awarded amount is not available.** The road(s) is to be resurfaced with Recycled Leveling including Bitum Tackcoat and H Lime (40#/SY) and Recycled 9MM Type 1 including Bitum and H Lime (125#/SY), totaling 165#/SY (unless otherwise noted). No resurfacing shall be done unless the temperature is at least 45 degrees and rising; and all work is to be done to GDoT specifications. EXCEPT FOR BROAD AND JAMES STREET, WHICH HAVE THICKER ASPHALT. The City will pay the contractor for work completed at the stated unit prices (less retainage) as described herein. The City will retain 10% of said contract payments until the satisfactory completion of all work and the final acceptance of said work by all parties. Upon such final acceptance, the City will remit to the contractor all amounts remaining due under the terms of the contract. Time is of the essence in this contract and all work must be completed within 120 days of the Notice to Proceed. The City will assess a $200.00 per day penalty after the 120 days has expired. Notice to Proceed will be issued, awarded and a contract signed. The completed bid form and all material included in this Invitation to Bid package shall be made part of any contract with the successful bidder. All bidders must provide documentation demonstrating their compliance with E-Verity/SAVE Programs (as these mandates are applicable to this bid). All bidders must provide documentation demonstrating they have workman's compensation and liability insurance. The City reserves the right to do all, some or none of the aforementioned. The City will bear the cost of any utility facility removal and relocations necessary in connection with the construction of this project. The City will be responsible for backfill to the edge of pavement upon completion of resurfacing. The City will be responsible for final grassing of the project area. The contractor will be responsible for signage and traffic control during project and temporary pavement markings upon completion of the resurfacing.
