Description

Renovation of a museum in Marietta, Ohio. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a museum.

This capital appropriation funds constructing a replacement for the existing Ohio River Museum, in two phases, and installing new exhibits. Phase One will construct the shell and outfit half of the building for the Washington County Public Library to relocate and install its Local History and Genealogical Archives. Phase Two will outfit the second half of the building for the relocation of the Ohio River Museum. The Washington County Public Library will contribute funding for the project. This project is in included in the Legislative Service Commission FY 2023-2024 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of June 7, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
