This WORK consists of preventative maintenance to the high school and elementary parking lots, including routing and sealing, slurry seal, and patching. The work is required to be completed by July 31, 2022. Attention is called to the fact that only bid proposals that cover all the WORK will be accepted and read aloud by the District. Partial bids will not be accepted. Bid proposals shall be accompanied by data suficient for the District to evaluate the bidder's qualiications to do the work, including but not limited to a list of projects similar in size and scope in which the Bidder was the prime contractor and completed in the past ive years. References for such projects, including name, position, phone number and if available, e-mail address, shall also be provided with the proposal. Attention is called to the fact that this project is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Law. A copy of the District Prevailing Wage Ordinance will be included with the bid documents. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Furthermore, this contract is available to minority and women contractors. Bidders shall actively solicit minority and women subcontractors and shall maintain records of their solicitation process. Attention is called to the fact that this project is subject to the Public Construction Bond Act, 30 ILCS 550/1, and the successful bidder shall be required to provide a performance and payment bond in the amount of the contract in such form and manner as required by that Act. A certiied check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Riverton Community Unit School District #14, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable Surety in an amount equal to Ten Percent (10%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid for each Contract. The District reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids, any or all bid items, or to waive any informalities in the bidding, and/or award process. Bids may be held by the District for a period of 30 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualiications of Bidders, prior to awarding the Contract. Bids are expected to be approved by the Board at their regularly scheduling meeting on June 13, 2022.
