Renovation of a mixed-use development in Cleveland, Ohio. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
These funds will be used for the first of a two-phase project that will repair and renovate the 1972-built chilled water plant in Rhodes Tower located on the main campus. The plant received an upgrade in 2011, however, the piping in the underground distribution that feeds into the plant are original to the plant. This phase will focus on replacing and repairing the underground piping, specifically one mile of piping that has had five major system leaks in the past several years. Other items that may be repaired or renovated include valves and cooling tower pipes. The second phase is expected to occur in the FY 2025-FY 2026 biennium with an anticipated cost of $3.1 million that will make repairs to the hot water baseboard HVAC system and replace four main chilled water valves. This project is in included in the Legislative Service Commission, Inc. FY 2023-2024 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of June 7, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
