The Town of Yucca Valley is requesting sealed proposals from qualified contractors/firms, licensed in the State of California, for the purpose of providing landscape maintenance services along State Route 62 (SR 62) median islands, outer highway segments, Town median islands, facilities and parks. In general, the selected contractor shall be responsible for the maintenance of existing landscape, obtaining permits and schedule work in coordination with Caltrans and Town staff, traffic control pursuant to Caltrans permit requirements, and landscape and minor irrigation system maintenance of raised landscaped and concrete median islands, as well as the landscape maintenance of Town facilities and Parks. The proposal shall contain: The technical proposal responding to this RFP shall include firm qualifications, references, license, and relevant experience along with additional information requested in the proposal requirements section. The fee proposal responding to this RFP shall include fee schedule, subcontractors and number of working hours along with additional information requested in the proposal requirements section. Unsigned submittals or submittals signed by an individual not authorized to bind the prospective Contractor will be considered nonresponsive and rejected. The Contractors State License Board for the State of California has determined in writing that a C27 Landscape Contractor License is required to provide the services in these specifications. Each contractor shall hold a valid C27 Landscape Contractors License and any other required permit or licenses at the time the proposal is submitted. Contractor must obtain and maintain in effect during the term of this Agreement, a valid Town of Yucca Valley Business Registration Certificate prior to commencement of work. The pre-proposal meeting is mandatory for the prime contractor. Instructions to participate at this meeting are outlined in the Request for Proposal (RFP) document. All bidders are advised to observe the project conditions.
