In accordance with MGL Chapter 149, the Town of Sterling, Massachusetts, acting through the Select Board, is issuing an invitation for bids for the removal of existing carpet and the installation of new VCT flooring in the identified areas of the Houghton Elementary School and Chocksett Middle School. All bids should show complete detail and respond to all requested features and provide a lump sum cost. A bid deposit, payable to the TOWN OF STERLING, in the amount of 5% of the bid amount is required with the bid submittal and may be in the form of a Treasurer's/bank check or drawn on a MA licensed surety. Late submissions will not be accepted. Bid submissions shall be valid for a period of sixty (60) days. The Town of STERLING ("Town") reserves the right to reject any and all bids in part or in whole. It also reserves the right to make an award in any manner consistent with Massachusetts General Law and deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. The contract for this service must be approved by the Sterling Select Board and the award is subject to funding at Annual Town Meeting. Installation must be completed by August 26, 2022.
