The City of Canton ("the City") is accepting Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) to contract with a firm to provide construction oversight services for the Market Ave N Waterline Replacement - TAG 584 Project. The City of Canton reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to accept the proposal deemed most beneficial to the City of Canton. The City of Canton intends to contract with engineering firms for construction oversight for the following project: o Market Ave N Waterline Replacement - TAG 584 It will involve replacement of approximately 690 LF of 6" waterline, 177 LF of 8" waterline, 5,421 LF of 12" waterline, 50 LF of 16" waterline, 45 LF of 20" waterline, and 88 LF of 24" waterline along with the installation of valves, hydrants, and reconnection to the existing water distribution network Construction is estimated to begin April of 2023 with a project duration of approximately 26 weeks. Estimated construction cost is $1.6 million. The professional services needed under this request for qualifications are construction management and inspection. This includes, but is not limited to, inspection of material, ensure construction is according to plan, review/manage project documentation, quality assurance testing, measure/track quantities, prepare/review pay estimates and change orders, and preparing as-built drawings. The City will then commence fee and contract negotiations with the selected firm most qualified to perform the services for the project described above. The final scope of construction oversight services will also be established during these negotiations. The City of Canton reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to accept the proposal deemed most beneficial to the City of Canton. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
