Vernon Odom Boulevard Branch and North Hill Branch Parking Lot Improvements All Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and State of Ohio guidelines and requirements shall be followed to minimize risk of spreading infectious diseases. All prospective bidders are encouraged to visit both construction sites prior to the submission of your bid. The bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud by Michelle Scarpitti, Fiscal Officer immediately at the close of the bid period. This project includes furnishing and/or installing all labor, equipment, materials and incidentals required to rehabilitate and improve the existing Vernon Odom Boulevard Branch and North Hill Branch Public Library asphalt pavement parking lot and ancillary items including, but not limited to, concrete walk, catch basins, and frost-slab improvements. Each bidder is required to furnish with his proposal a Bid Guarantee and Contract Bond in accordance to Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. The bid bond may be in the form of a bid guarantee, letter of credit for 100% of the project, or certified check from a solvent bank or cash in the amount of 10% of the total bid submitted. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide such surety. Checks should be made payable to the Akron-Summit County Public Library. Bid guarantees/bid bonds will be returned to all unsuccessful bidders. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed no later than October 1, 2022.
