Demolition, site work and new construction of a civil project in Howey in the Hills, Florida. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Lake Woodward Stormwater Pump Station project consists of replacing an existing stormwater pump station and associated stormwater force mains to convey water from Lake Woodward to Lake Saunders. The engineer s estimate is $532,450.00. This project is funded through a Joint Participation Agreement (JPA) with the Florida Department of Transportation. Bids may be withdrawn prior to the date of opening, but no bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of opening of bids. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee acceptable to the County Attorney, which shall be one of the following; bid bond or letter of credit, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the base bid and made payable to Lake County. Said bid bond or letter of credit shall be a guarantee that should the bid be accepted, the bidder will, within ten (10) days after written notice of the award of the contract, enter into a contract with Lake County for the services proposed to be performed and will at that time furnish an acceptable contract surety. Cash, company or personal checks will not be accepted. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive formalities, and to award the contract in the best interest of Lake County, Florida.
